31 year old Kamaru Usman has become the first African born fighter to win a UFC title after beating Tyron Woodley in Las Vegas.
The Nigerian born Texan broke into the UFC on its competition reality show in 2015. He then won his first 8 bouts and pummelled ex-champion Rafael Dos Anjos to earn a shot at the belt.
Usman celebrated his win with his daughter before his hand was raised in victory.
Usman said “Can’t nobody handle me,” “I’ve been wanting this fight, and I’ll be honest, I might not be the best striker in the world. I might not be the best wrestler in the world. But when it comes to mixing this up, I’m the best in the world right now.”
